Please Listen Lyrics by Nati

2021

[Chorus 1]
If I die on this ride
Please know I love you
If I ain’t by your side
Please know she got you
If you lose faith
Reside with God
Don’t fall in love with hate
Now I’m gonna go abroad
When we find a new place
Don’t forget the ones who
Are glued to the roots hat they ripped away from you
For every change
Please think of them too
For every dark day
Remember what we went through
[Verse 1]
Every second of every day, I found a new place
It’s hard when my heart was livin in another state
One statement changed my life, and everyone I love
Now I live life I wish I could dispose of
I've been so strong for too long thanks to my mother
Without her as my guard I wouldn’t hear my son song
Had my little angel as a picture inside my pocket
Kept me going and made a scripture too become their prophet
One unborn I had to leave em
Broke my big heart
I couldn’t be the one to feed em
Now in a constant state of fight or flight
Memories haunting me for the rest of life
Kept my emotions at bay so I get through the night
That’s why I hate weakness you don’t see your light
I’m might sometimes be too harsh, but I know what this world could do
I lived a long life, and my scars is all my proof
Now listen
[Chorus 1]
If I die on this ride
Please know I love you
If I ain’t by your side
Please know she got you
If you lose faith
Reside with God
Don’t fall in love with hate
Now I’m gonna go abroad
When we find a new place
Don’t forget the ones who
Are glued to the roots that they ripped away from you
For every change
Please think of them too
For every dark day
Remember what we went through
[Verse 2]
Never got to say goodbye to the man I married
Now all alone with the sequel and one more I carry
Yeah I know I had my other friends and family
Everyday afraid of the news that gonna ruin me
My future in my stomach I couldn’t get it tied into a knot
I had to firm it and make sure to get through the rough
God
Was by my side everyday
I held him close and begged that no one would take him away
The strength of the group, he needs to persevere
We are a unit, almost time for the premiere
I don’t care if we start again, I want us to be free
But I wanna attain that freedom as an entity
Please lord bring us together this time
So, we can see our kids grow into something divine
We wanna kickback and share moments and turn off our lights
And then layback and trust that we managed to take every turn right
Now listen
[Chorus 2]
I had to wait for a ride
You know I love you
I'll be forever by your side
Please know I got you
If you lose faith
Reside with God
Don’t fall in love with hate
Now we're gonna go abroad
When we find a new place
Don’t forget the ones who
Are glued to the roots that they ripped away from you
For every change
Please think of them too
For every dark day
Remember what we went through
[Verse 3]
Unaware for 18 years all the struggle it took
I was raised in a luxury that they never could
Took it day by day, belly was full, throat never dry
It was the normality of my everyday life
Plus, I had more than one should ask for
But my selfish ways in my teens did that for sure
While I was playing Xbox DS, games galore
Now I realize I need somethin that'll make me soar
Been to the motherland and seen my family’s life
It gave me a new perspective of what I deem is right
I shouldn’t waste the opportunity I have in front
But I wasted 6 years of my time being a front
All the worries and issues my parents had to deal with
But I struggled on tests cuz I can’t focus on real shit
The times the world hit me, and I didn’t hit back
My mind convinced me that I couldn’t keep up with the track
When I got a bad grade and ignored the run
Or when I failed with a girl thinking she was the one
Or became lazy cause I didn’t find anything fun
It was tempting to find a solution through a gun
My mental health battles
Made me feel weak
Felt I was adding more worry to their stress induced weeks
And you call me selfish because I chase a dream
I thought you chose to work hard so we could choose what life would mean
Now listen
[Chorus 3]
I won’t die on this ride
Till the end I love you
Differences on the side
Till the end I got you
Haven’t lost faith
I don’t need God
You made our life so great
Now we are livin abroad
Since we found a new place
Won’t forget the ones who
Are glued to the roots that they ripped away from you
For every change
I will think of them too
For every dark day
I'll remember what you went through
