Cherish Lyrics by New Age Thief

Stars Align

2024

[Verse 1]
I fell behind
I see it moving further
And watch it filter out
I feel the fear move adjacent to me
I can see in my blind spot now
[Pre-Chorus]
I wouldn’t ever try to fly away
Shouldering broken wings
I’m gonna love what’s right in front of me
I’m gonna cherish things
[Chorus]
Take your time
Slow down
Let summer pass
Come back around
I fall behind
We’re keeping up
But when we speak
I get choked up
[Verse 2]
Closer, now I can feel the warmth
I saw my friends in the city again
Feeling good when I open my door
[Pre-Chorus]
And I wouldn’t ever try to fly away
Shouldering broken wings
I’m gonna love what’s right in front of me
I’m gonna cherish things
[Bridge]
On and on it all presents itself to me
On and on it’s all unraveling
On and on the answer’s right in front of me
On and on it’s all unraveling
[Chorus]
Take your time
Slow down
Let summer pass
Come back around
I fall behind
We’re keeping up
But when we speak
I get choked up
So take your time
Just slow down
Let autumn pass
Come back around
I fall behind
We’re keeping up
But when we speak
I get choked up
