Person I Want to Be Lyrics by Nihhiu

Subconscious Creation of Mine

2023

[Intro]
Hello darkness, my old friend
I've come to walk, with you once again
Through the scribbles of my past
The stains, the pain, that forever last
[Verse 1]
But now I’m here to face the truth
Pick the rubber in the table
Seek mercy and forgiveness
And erase this sketch, endless
But every time I close my eyes
I see the memories that I once caused
The words I said, the things I did
The bridges that I left burning, hid
[Chorus]
(Person) How many
(I) Will break
(Want To) Leave this prison
(Be) As long as I can take
(Person) To me
(I) Will see
(Want To) Let them
(Be) The ones to set me free
[Bridge]
Hello, darkness, my old friend
You held me tight, till the end
But now
There’s someone better I want to be
[Outro]
(Person) How many
(I) Will break
(Want To) Leave this prison
(Be) As long as I can take
(Person) To me
(I) Will see
(Want To) Let them
(Be) The ones to set me free
(Person) How many
(I) Will break
(Want To) Leave this prison
(Be) As long as I can take
(Person) To me
(I) Will see
(Want To) Let them
(Be) The ones to set me free
