[Skit: Laura Laham]
Do you know where you are?
[Intro: Intricate, Akeisha Joy, Sky Noblezada, & Breanna Nicole, Nkenge 1x]
We’ve been down, down but now
We up
We up
[Verse 1: Intricate]
Yeah you heard it – we up
I been in the cut cut cut for the re-up
Feelin like there’s nothing in the world that can beat us
Feelin like there’s nothing in the world that can beat us
I’m somersaulting into a vault while you salty bout me
I’m a different flavor you haters simmer and sulk around me
Lookin like the Hulk around me
Yo I think they big mad wit that
Riff raff I zig zag and then zig back where they lips at then
Stitch that up- please keep ‘em closed, you don’t need the flows
Got the work and we don’t need a stove – blessings be bestowed
Even need to decompose - yall be on repeat with flows
Monkey see and monkey do on top of that, they frontin’ too so what’s the move?
One time for that one time cus he killing that
The real is back you need to reel it back
Salute and peel your cap
Say, man, you couldn’t match us if we had a Lear
It’s like we fixed the brackets here
Ponzi rhyme schemes and rapping racketeers
Post up statuses – we up on stratosphere
You can’t bring me down – your gravity don’t matter here
[Chorus: Nkenge 1x, Intricate, Akeisha Joy, Sky Noblezada, & Breanna Nicole]
We up tho, we up tho, so true
If you didn’t know now you know
We up tho, we up tho – I told you
There was only one way to go
We been down, down, but now
We up
[Verse 2: Nkenge 1x]
Yeah you heard it - we up
I be hella stressed. I ain't never gonn free up
And that ain't even a flex. Attack ain't even direct
So I could easily deflect, and that ain't even affect
Come in fresh, leaving a mess. Come in clean, leave with a tech foul
We gonn even em out - we the odd balls
I insert an odd clause into every contract
Specifying you ain’t dealing wit me
You doing business with an LLC
It’s always bigger than me whenever we reppin’
I could gross ten dollars for ten years so
I could net ten million the eleventh
I don't got a lot, but I do got fans
We don't got a lot, but we do got plans
50 thousand dollars after seeing the man
Tax refund looking like six bands
Still more than enough to own my publishing, pay for marketing
Pay for distribution, pay for studio time
Pay for the LLC tax, federal copyrights
Sony C800g - 11 bands off a mic
“Wait that ain’t” - naw he right. We got the figures right
Imma take whatever left and make sure I’m living right
The world suck, tho. The world cut throat
Some of yall stuck low. But really we…
[Chorus: Nkenge 1x, Intricate, Akeisha Joy, Sky Noblezada, & Breanna Nicole]
Up tho, we up tho, so true
If you didn’t know now you know
We up tho, we up tho – I told you
There was only one way to go
We been down, down, but now
We up
[Bridge: Nkenge 1x, Sky Noblezada]
I’m doing alright
I’m not doing what I want
But I’m doing all right
I’m doing alright
I’m not doing what I could
But I’m doing all right
[Verse 3: Nkenge 1x]
I’m not finna lie - I used to be the boy saying I’m not finna die
Oh… but I am, though
Now I know that that was always in the plan, bro
And I know that imma always be the man
Hundred grand
Understand - I ain't finna stop rapping till you hearing me
I be steady capping at the fear in me
That's right - I am waging war with the fear
I be with the lord hella more than I’m here
$30,000 for the pub - it ain’t gonn be enough
50/50 splits – that mean that y’all ain’t paying me enough
You ain't you ain't got the fee then oui we ain't gonn be in touch
I just got a song on BET and TNT
Mommy, I’m on TV. Real life ain’t no CG
I’m just trynna be me. Ain't no freaking free beats
I’m Adobe CC – need to subscribe to me
Slaving for the elite - just so I can be free
But we up, though
And we gonn be up
And we gonn stay up there
And we ain’t never gonn go
Just so all yall know
We gonn stay on post
Do what we supposed
Not a pose
We gonn really blow
We gonn reach our goals
No ones coming close
[Chorus: Nkenge 1x, Intricate, Akeisha Joy, Sky Noblezada, & Breanna Nicole]
Up tho, we up tho, so true
If you didn’t know now you know
We up tho, we up tho – I told you
There was only one way to go
We been down
We up
We been down
We up
We up
We up
