An ancient cultural stage that existed between, paleolithic and neolithic times
Adopting to special environments, this new culture hunters and fishers
With greater efficiency than before, technologically superior to the other
Paleolithic people brought forth, animal and vegetable food sources
Living around boggy areas from England tot he Baltic lands, this new era
Flourished and thrived called the Maglemosion culture
Building composite tools, chisels and axes, of a microlithic scale
Flint axes for cutting trees and working with wood, adzes and chisels of antler
And bone, and harpoons bows and arrows, paddles and canoes, fish nets of fibre
Smaller flint tools mounted as points, barbs in arrows
Hunting and domestication had begun settlements and villages
And walled cities, mass extinction of herd animals
Due to groups hunting of them, agriculture and farming
In communities the first use of pottery
The first art forms had developed on cave walls
Drawings and paintings, in red and black, pigments in color
Engravings and sculptures and megalithic architecture
Printed figures of humans and animals, hunting and battles
So starts the initial period of domestication, and hunting and gathering
Specific cultures, that fall between the paleolithic and neolithic periods of time
