Close To You Lyrics by Outis

I am Outis - Part I

2016

[Verse 1]
This is a rap song and a love song, so I must be trying to seduce you
The thing about vague metaphors is that they can be real useful
When you taking anyone home with you to pork a bitch, that’s moo shu
But I've been there, done that
I’m headed home, don’t want to lose you again
It’s about nobody else, see, look, I’ll prove it
Sit back and watch you laugh now while you’re listening to that music
Crazy, hazel green eyes, nasal piercing, and hypnotizing hips
Hip hop artists would die if they just got hip to them thighs
You’re five five, you want to be five four, you’d never be five three
Acting like an inch makes a difference somewhere but the sheets, sheesh
Speaking of sheets, we've had that locked down for a minute, huh?
Racy, never racing, you can beat me to the finish, love
My intentions are purely impure, transparently sinister
You a goddess, let me up in church, I’ll be your minister
Just give me a minute to-
To catch my breath, impress you, sex you, test you
Flex you, exercise you till you sweat
"What's next?," you ask, and I'm up for damn near anything, girl
Looking at you reminds me of this song that I used to sing, girl
It was kind of like:
[Chorus]
Why do birds suddenly appear
Every time you are near?
Just like me, they long to be close to you
Why do stars come falling from the sky
Every time you walk by?
Just like me, they long to be close to you
[Verse 2]
Let me take a second, do some shit that’s kind of reckless
Put down my guard, stop acting hard, and tell you where my head is
If it were up to me, I'd wear your kisses like a necklace
And tell every chick looking my way exactly who the best is
Wear you out at night, and in the morning make you breakfast
Scratch "sex the baddest chick I've ever seen" up off my checklist
You want a man that understands your independence, I respect it
You hypothesize that love is lies, but baby I reject it
Worried that your heart will fall apart, but girl I will protect it
Can't a guy just get a try? I swear you won't regret this
Been about what lies between them thighs before
But now I think my head is where your heart is
Regardless of hard decisions, I charge you with letting our love grow larger
If you want all of this, it is all yours
Or you can share like ménages
Fuck being modest cause, honestly
I can't handle the thought of the loss of my muse
She said "well let me ask you something"
I just smiled and said “shoot”
She was like
[Chorus]
