They Told Me Lyrics by P. Stunna

Resurrection

[Verse One: P-Stunna]
They told me I needed more emotions in my raps
I gave em a stoneface cause no emotion outta that
They told me that I would never make it in hip hop
Maboo said I was dope, now ain't that a flip flop
They told me hip hop was not a career
But I been stuck in this profession for the past three years
They told me I'mma piece of shit, that I'll never be a thing
Now the same motherfuckas sayin Stunna is the king
They told me when X dropped that Daz Villa can't rap
Shit..maybe they were right about that
They told me that Isaah was rappin like a fag
But Tha Clip wasn't the one who said throw it in the bag
They told me I needed to hang on to Vikki
Shit..Stunna didn't listen now, did he?
They told me My Little Pony was gay
I scared when I said "what the fuck you say?"
