Perspective (Bonus) Lyrics by P-Trill

Chosen

2020

[Intro]
Yeah
[Verse 1]
What’s the price for a Black man life?
If the answer’s one sentence then my raps can twice
Treat me like a poor test grade, like I’m not nice
If it ain’t my loved ones, do I care? Not quite
‘‘Damn, how can you say that?’’ Go ahead, go replay that
You only get one shot, can’t retake that
They disperse when I eat with the mic, break fast
Coming crazy, I’m at your head, wave caps
Hear the reasons, real shit what I’m preaching
Started from the hardword, pause, I’m talking bleachers
They don’t know how I feel, I’ll make ‘em hear me in speakers
Some fiend to be down, they playing Follow the Leader
I want my people to be better
Be a capital of your first case, starting with your first letter
Never try to copy cats, print for the pleasure
Make a change for yourself, you’re the gold, you’re the treasure
Put me to the test, I‘ll never sell my soul
They comparing me to boxes but I will not fold
Thought I’d stay down forever but I acceled to my role
Accelerated, my moves premeditated, I’ll excel at my goal
While niggas waste time hating, my mind was elevated
My spot, they wanna claim it
I felt underestimated, till I was excavated
Now they jackin’ we related
I’m feeling like Dave East ‘cause nigga’s tryna get acquainted
Many never make it out the slums
I spit for their pain, as I’m one with the drums
Decimating all the negativity to crumbs
Better stand for yourself, be in control of your thumbs
Some real ones fell to guns, who’ll be last to leave?
Word to the son I ain’t have yet we’ll get past the breeze
I’m on go time to grow, can you pass the peas?
Your life becomes a masterpiece once you master piece, listen
[Verse 2]
Dreams, what a beautiful inception
Where a nigga focus less on giving good first impression
When you recognize your power to control every dimension
Then you wake up, and wanna bring to life that same invention
But listen, instead of tryna be somethin’ you not
Show and telling, tryna get in every single thot
I want you learn to love, everything you got
Once you in tune with yourself, you the focus in the plot
Ill with it, for real, I’m staying on my heels to help my family with meals
Lil’ nigga that’s trill that trill niggas could feel
Give a fuck how they feel, real, I can never conceal
And I stay by the grill, a nigga cooking to heal
Living how no others lived it
I’m working to spit, how no others will deliver
So comparing’s cool and all, but a nigga beg to differ
I’m context clues, my music brings you bigger pictures
So don’t forget me, I hope the bars are incentives
Kicked back to relax, now I’m getting real reflective
Reminiscing all the loved ones I lost for me to get here
Probably split paths ‘cause they ain’t see from my perspective
I remember all the strain and pain from breaking my leg
But no amount of hurt is gonna make me lose my brain
I know I’ll reign supreme through the thunder and the rain
That’s on my mind that I shine from inside, F a chain
Mothers still struggling, ignorant still rumbling
Wanna-be’s out hustling, pieces is looking puzzling
Weight on shoulders I’m juggling, took bumps, I’m fumbling
I’m glad I never stumbled, man, all this made me a humble kid
Used to always be blue till I discovered the clues
You’ll get views from the tunes, or highlights on the news
Strayed away from media to focus on dropping jewels
I got infinite fuel, and that’s from learning to lose
