Never Wanna Go Back Lyrics by People & Songs

The Emerging Sound, Vol. 4: Land of the Living

2018

[Intro: Kevin Jones]
Oh-oh, oh-oh
Ooh-ooh
[Verse 1: Kevin Jones]
Great is Your love, Your love for me
Sin cast away, from west to east
Oh God, Your grace for me, it never ends
[Refrain: Kevin Jones]
So I praise You, I praise You
I praise You, I praise You, Lord
[Verse 1: May Angeles]
Great is Your love, Your love for me
Sin cast away, from west to east
Oh God, Your grace for me, it never ends
[Refrain: Kevin Jones & May Angeles]
So I praise You, I praise You
I praise You, I praise You, Lord
I praise You, I praise You
I praise You, Lord (Here we go)
[Chorus: Kevin Jones & May Angeles]
I never wanna go back, there's something better
It gives me hope that will last, it lasts forever
I leave my guilt in the past and now my future
Is in the Cross, in the Cross
And I don't wanna go back
It's in the Cross, in the Cross
And I don't wanna go back
[Post-Chorus: Kevin Jones]
Back, back, back
And I don't wanna go back (Doo-doo-doo-doo, whoa-oa-oa)
[Verse 2: Kevin Jones & May Angeles]
Your mercies are new, new everyday
You work for my good, in every way
Oh God, Your grace for me it never ends
[Refrain: Kevin Jones & May Angeles]
So I praise You, I praise You
I praise You, I praise You, Lord
So I praise You, I praise You
I praise You, Lord
[Chorus: Kevin Jones & May Angeles]
I never wanna go back, there's something better
It gives me hope that will last, it lasts forever
I leave my guilt in the past and now my future
Is in the Cross, in the Cross
And I don't wanna go back
It's in the Cross, in the Cross
And I don't wanna go back
[Post-Chorus: Kevin Jones]
Back, back, back
And I don't wanna go back (Whoa-oa-oa-oa)
[Bridge: Kevin Jones & May Angeles]
The Cross before me
The world behind me
I'm in the shadow of the Cross, yeah
His love surrounds me
His Spirit in me
I'm in the shadow of the Cross
Oh, the Cross before me
The world behind me
I'm in the shadow of the Cross, yeah
His love surrounds me
His Spirit in me
I'm in the shadow of the Cross
[Chorus: Kevin Jones & May Angeles]
I never wanna go back, there's something better
It gives me hope that will last, it lasts forever
I leave my guilt in the past and now my future
Is in the Cross, in the Cross
And I don't wanna go back
I never wanna go back, there's something better
It gives me hope that will last, it lasts forever
I leave my guilt in the past and now my future
Is in the Cross, in the Cross
And I don't wanna go back
It's in the Cross, in the Cross
And I don't wanna go back
[Outro: Kevin Jones]
Back, back
I know, I know
I don't wanna go back
No, I don't yeah
I don't wanna go back
