Bought a Plug-in With My Rent Money Lyrics by Plasthic Slash & Ace The Supreme

Ceteris Paribus

2020

[Verse: Plasthic Slash]
Loud knock at the front door
I took a deep breath, prepared for onslaught
Peeked through the peephole, expecting to see my landlord
But it was two Jehovah Witnesses, ah! thank God
The older chap had an umbrella and shoulder strap bag
I see striking resemblance, probably the sober lad's dad
Man of about sixty and a teenage boy
I tried to retreat quickly, hit something and the thing made noise
Can of coke I drank from, bro, hour before and flung carelessly
If I wasn't so down and broke, I would have drunk Hennessey
Shit! Now, the motherfuckers knеw I was home
Fuck y'all that think no religion true as your own
Twas on my mind but I opеned up with a smile on my face
Saw two sexy ladies standing at the side of my gate
Preaching to my gateman who was high off a gateway drug
I could hear Armani Kay singing how she hate fake love
In the distance, I'm wondering who knows that song 'round here
Heard my neighbour lock his door he 'bout to come downstairs
Turned my attention to my uninvited guests
How to start? Dude looked like he was undecided yet
Footwear looking like they were worn to a cinema in 8 Mile
To see Eddie and Martin's film when it first came out
And have been worn everyday since, man! those shoes done see life
I wonder wetin carry the old dude come this side
How my gateman got the ladies while I got Dr Sebi
Think I seen him once at a news stand where I used to cop my dailies
He said, "Good morning, I'd like to share the word with you"
I said, "You'll have to excuse me, I have lots of work to do"
I got a deadline, you don't know the fire my ass in
They quickly shot me magazines like some hired assassins
I put hand for pocket give them my frigging last five H
Went back in, turned on my deck, begin blast Tristate
Checked the phone, shit! my landlord forty fo' missed calls
My rent two months overdue, he must be so pissed off
Called my mama, "Man, mummy, I've been a damn dummy
Shit ain't funny. I bought a plugin with my rent money"
I bought a plug in with my rent money!
