Peru Lyrics by Preston Eggert

Sunshine Blues

2019

I still keep a piece of you it’s from Peru
And I’ll wear it till I tear it straight through
I still feel connected when it’s on me to you
I still keep a piece of you it’s from Peru
It’s from Peru
Black and red
You know it’s my favorite
Just so you know I still wear it every day
We were close
Closest to each other
Now we’re closest to drifting apart
Wrote you a letter
But you never wrote back
So I’ll guess I’ll take that as goodbye
Thought that you could wait
Till I saw you again
Didn’t know you’d shove me out of your heart
I still keep a piece of you it’s from Peru
And I’ll wear it till I tear it straight through
I still feel connected when it’s on me to you
I still keep a piece of you it’s from Peru
It’s from Peru
It’s from Peru
I tried to hold on but you’re the one who let me go (x4)
I still keep a piece of you it’s from Peru
But just know I went and found somebody new
I just got sick and tired of waiting for you to choose
I still keep a piece of you it's from Peru
It's from Peru
