[Verse 1]
Top of the morning I'm hittin' the snooze
Shot and I don’t feel like wakin' up
Feel like the coroner hit me with tools
I'm needin' something to shake me up
I got to pray it up
Start my day with a win when I lay it up
Read a scripture or two ‘bout Him savin’ us or bout the earth like a bed when he made it up
Did I say enough?
I’m in the mirror now
You’re successful and nothing can tear you down
Then my eyes begin opening clearer now
See the hope that I spoke ain't a joke to be played around with
[Bridge]
Now no I’m not in the mood to rest
Now on my grind never losin’ it
Choppin’ down obstacles!
Takin’ risks and optin’ to start a few nothings impossible!
[Chorus]
I will never take the day off (Never gon’ take the day off)
I been takin’ risks that’s about to pay off (Risks that’s about to pay off)
I been working, Hard (Not in the mood to rest)
That’s, all (I’m a give you the best)
Yes, Lord (I’m workin’ through the stress)
Na, never take the day off!
[Bridge]
Now no I’m not in the mood to rest
Now on my grind never loosin’ it
Choppin’ down obstacles!
Takin’ risks and optin’ to start a few nothings impossible!
Now no I’m not in the mood to rest
Now on my grind never loosin it
Choppin’ down obstacles!
Takin’ risks and optin’ to start a few nothings impossible!
[Verse 2]
(Huh!) Kickin’ the truth like a soccer shoe!
(Huh!) There ain’t a thing that is stoppin’ you!
(Huh!) Except for you, you got the proper tools!
(Yeah!) Takin’ respect that was proper due (Uh)
And I’ve truly been blessed
Mind over matter that do lead success
Still got a ways that route see the destination
That I’m tryna make before death
Yes, I never sleep ‘til I’m dead and gone
Leave my regrets in that bed alone
These are the rules that I’ve set in stone
I wasn’t playin’ when I said
[Bridge]
Now no I’m not in the mood to rest
Now on my grind never losin’ it
Choppin’ down obstacles!
Takin’ risks and optin’ to start a few nothings impossible!
[Chorus]
I will never take the day off (Never gon’ take the day off)
I been takin’ risks that’s about to pay off (Risks that’s about to pay off)
I been working, Hard (Not in the mood to rest)
That’s, all (I’m a give you the best)
Yes, Lord (I’m workin’ through the stress)
Na, never take the day off!
[Bridge]
Now no I’m not in the mood to rest
Now on my grind never loosin’ it
Choppin’ down obstacles!
Takin’ risks and optin’ to start a few nothings impossible!
Now no I’m not in the mood to rest
Now on my grind never loosin it
Choppin’ down obstacles!
Takin’ risks and optin’ to start a few nothings impossible!
[Interlude: (Narrator)]
I can do all things through Him who strengthens me
The positive thinker sees the invisible, feels the intangible, and achieves the impossible
It always seems impossible until it's done
[Verse 3]
I’m givin’ a rise to what ain’t possible
Y’all minds are aligned to what ain’t profitable
Comin’ up with the lie ‘cause you can’t process the truth
Never to wonder why and it ain’t shockin’ to you
Doin’ the same job and It ain’t change
I just want a little change and to maintain
I just want a little ride in a safe place
I ain’t tryna see God before I say grace, wait wait!
Wait a minute now, you had a dream before you put it down
I pray to God that you get it out
Put on your familia break through what’s familiar
That’s how I talk when I’m drowning I gotta say
