Wishing We Were More Than Friends Lyrics by push baby

Wow, Big Legend

2020

[Verse 1]
I tried to tell you but the words got stuck
I was down on my luck
I wrote a letter but the ink went dry
It's not like I didn't try
I didn't try
I even told your friends the perfect phrase
But they just laughed in my face
It goes to show that when you let things slide
Oh, how they fall into place
Fall into place
[Chorus]
I didn't ever think that we would ever fall in love
It wasn't anything I thought that you were dreaming of
And I'll be honest with you
I just knew that we were friends
Just wishing we were more than friends
And then you tell me
"Oh, I think I've really fallen in love
You're the one that everyday I'm always dreaming of"
I have to tell you, baby, I just thought that we were friends
Just wishing we were more than friends
[Verse 2]
I have to tell you that my ego hurt
That night you threw me to dirt
'Cause all I wanted was your hand to dance
You are my teenage romance
Teenage romance
I'd sit and wait until you came online
Wasting hours of time, it's fine
Because I knew that if I bide my time
One day you'd be mine
You'd have to be mine
[Chorus]
I didn't ever think that we would ever fall in love
It wasn't anything I thought that you were dreaming of
And I'll be honest with you
I just knew that we were friends
Just wishing we were more than friends
And then you tell me
"Oh, I think I've really fallen in love
You're the one that everyday I'm always dreaming of"
I have to tell you, baby, I just thought that we were friends
Just wishing we were more than friends
[Outro]
And now we've fallen in love
And now we've fallen in love
And now we've fallen in love
And now we've fallen in love
And now we've fallen in love
And now we've fallen in love
And now we've fallen in love
And now we've fallen in love
And now we've fallen in love
And now we've fallen in love...
