Do You Ever Consider? Lyrics by Rabbits on Trees

Desperation in the Age of Social Media

2021

[Verse 1]
Do you ever consider
To shave your entire head
When you look in the mirror
And you just wanna change the mess
That they call your life
Just that little detail and everything will be fine
No one’s gonna realize
And before too long
Your hair will be back to normal again
[Verse 2]
You don’t want them to worry
About you being too alone
You just outlast the flurries
And you’re waiting for the one
To enter your life
And you carry a template that no one could ever fit
So by the time your past catches up with you
You will still be available
[Chorus]
And that's all okay, just make sure to avoid
Every rational thought crossing your mind
When you hear them all say you'd be better off
And you're going to crash again sometime
Leave 'em behind
[Verse 3]
No one calls you a quitter
For finally letting go
Don’t you wanna consider?
And you tell them you “don’t wanna be rude but shut the fuck up”
Cause you already know
And it’s always on your mind
And you’ve tried
You actually let go a couple of times
But no one is drawing a line
And yes, that is true for both sides
[Chorus]
So go give it a try but make sure to avoid
Every rational thought crossing your mind
When you hear them all say you'd be better off
And you're going to crash again sometime
Leave 'em behind
[Melodica solo]
[Outro]
Do you ever consider
To shave your entire head
But when you look in the mirror
You don’t wanna change the mess
