News To Me Lyrics by Homeboy Sandman

Still Champion

2022

[Verse 1: Homeboy Sandman]
I work out outdoors, I'm self-taught
Not all talk, and out on tour
I take risk and and make the right decision, not all forks
Whatever battle ain't bein' for, well I'm all for it
Ain't a braver heart that's goin harder, I can't find
So far, and I been far and I been wide
I am not afraid of quiet if you not my type
Or of dying, I ain't dying if it ain't my time
Every morning when I wake up, I don't know what's next
But if things don't make sense then I take steps
There's is some of minor lunacy that I expect
But I'm strict as far as things that I accept, or I express
I'm never gonna choose one sound
Don't confuse what goes up for what comes down
Could call on me for no amount of dollar an hour
So I stop to smell the flowers, that's the power of now
[Chorus]
It doesn't seem cash rules to me
If you in it for the rules, that's lose to me
Vast majority of you's cartoons to me
If you're makin any moves, that's news to me
[Verse 2: Deca]
Planet rocks blisterin' hot, listen and watch
Out the frying pan, in a pot; similar spot
When they called nurse Ratchet to administer shots
It was all prepackaged with a ribbon on top
Any way you get into it, I don't fit in that box
Any way you soufflé it i don't fit that mold
If you buy what they supplying then you missing the plot
Had to hit the open road when the temperature rose
We got darts and harpoons for cartoon villains
Sky is illuminating bar room ceiling
Sharp-shooting marks across enemy lines
Beat snipes getting bent like the centipede spine
The latter's got me feeling like I'm dead or I'm dying
Not to stress either any minor blemish, I'm fine
I'm not your average man-ufactured on assembly lines
Trade in presence of mind for pennies and dimes
[Chorus]
It doesn't seem cash rules to me
If you in it for the rules, that's lose to me
Vast majority of you's cartoons to me
If you're makin any moves, that's news to me
[Verse 3: Randy Mason]
Yo, way to go, way to rhyme
My sentiment exactly would actually align
My lady so fine that I race to make her mine
So I guess that every day you could say I chase a dime
Uh, and she the only one I'm chasing
If you love the author, you should go become a patron
If you ever thought that money wasn't motivation
Know the faces on the paper's not the image I was naming, nah
Yo this is math made fun, greater is the sum when 2 become 1
Later for the data, I'm a dada to my daughter
And my future's looking bright because I'm raising sons
Lead it with the lead that's in the pencil
Better than the lead that's in the pistol
Well-fared eater had a letter, spot a fist full
Leave him in the higher print magazine
Cream has never been the issue
[Chorus]
It doesn't seem cash rules to me
If you in it for the rules, that's lose to me
Vast majority of you's cartoons to me
If you're makin any moves, that's news to me
