This Generation Sucks Lyrics by RARIA

2023

[Verse 1]
Eighteen, l'd have a job
Nineteen, I'd fall in love
Figured out, he's not the one
Fixed my heart at twenty-one
[Pre-Chorus]
Twenty-five thought I'd be engaged by now
But I'm still sleeping on my parents' couch
They say maybe I should just go out, but
[Chorus]
This generation sucks
How can I fall in love
When no one really gives a fuck?
No, I don't want that
Nobody wants that
This generation sucks
Maybe I should just give up
They want temporary love
No, I don't want that
Is it me or does this generation suck?
[Post-Chorus]
Oh-oh
This generation sucks
Oh-oh
[Verse 2]
Tryna make my parents proud
Thought twenty-three would turn around
They fell in love in '81
Now all these boys just want some fun
[Pre-Chorus]
Twenty-five thought I'd be engaged by now
But I'm still sleeping on my parents' couch
They say maybe I should just go out, but
[Chorus]
This generation sucks
How can I fall in love
When no one really gives a fuck?
No, I don't want that
Nobody wants that
This generation sucks
Maybe I should just give up
They want temporary love
No, I don't want that
Is it me or does this generation suck?
[Post-Chorus]
Oh-oh
This generation sucks
Oh-oh
[Bridge]
I can't figure out what they want
They love me, the next day they don't
Should probably listen to my gut
Stop thinking I can change them
Planning our engagement
Then tell me they're just playing
I'll never be enough
[Chorus]
This generation sucks
How can I fall in love
When no one really gives a fuck?
No, I don't want that
Nobody wants that
This generation sucks
Maybe I should just give up
They want temporary love
No, I don't want that
Is it me or does this generation suck?
[Post-Chorus]
Oh-oh
This generation sucks
Oh-oh
[Outro]
I'd have a job
I'd fall in love
Figured out he's not the one
Fixed my heart at twenty-one
