Prototype Lyrics by Real Just Matthew

Connery EP

2015

[Intro: Just Matthew]
Yeah
Preachin'
(Now)
I feel your presence
Yeah
[Verse 1: Just Matthew]
Ever since a young child I been afraid of heights
When I'm in doubt I just pray and fight
That putting in long days and even longer nights that
Pursuing this rap career is going to pay off with no guarantees 'Cause I ain't perfect man I'm just the prototype
Ain't that somethin'?
There's going to be more of me where that came from
Now ain't that somethin'?
I can take the low blows all the criticism
All the malfunctions and defects
Give me all of your burdens
'Cause for not one time thinking about resettin'
[PreChorus: Just Matthew]
The worst mistakes are the best blessin's
Lowest and the highest are the best sections
Sink or swim
'Cause if you only treadin' water you ain't going places
My childhood friends can't relate to that
Even most of my family can't relate to that
I ain't trying to put them on blast
I just want to let society know what's up with me
My words ain't got to rhyme so you could see
I ain't perfect man I'm just the prototype
Trial and error it's all good
'Cause its the messiness that only gets it right
That process if I had no stress
In regards to this I would've quit by now, so
[Chorus: Just Matthew]
Be with me now
I feel your presence
You be my covers
Distant protection (yeah)
Be with me now (oh yeah)
How am I destined?
I need an answer
For all of my questions
[Verse 2: Just Matthew]
I didn't even loan this beat
Just copped it off YouTube so I could show my heat
Yo the internet is my playground
Got the whole world in my pocket
Wave to my Grandma when I'm on stage now
Just to show her that I got us
This my life
I ain't goin' back (oh yeah)
I didn't want it but it chose me so I'm
(yeah, yeah, yeah)
I'm livin' this life (this my life)
And I love it yeah
I ain't goin' back, uh
Yeah, yo this my life
Ever since I changed my life I been savin' grace (yeah)
Boy eatin' good off that dinner plate (preachin')
One day Ashley Olsen next Mary Kate
Anxiety having me twisted up it got my heartbeat sounding like an 808 I'm like
[PreChorus: Just Matthew]
The worst mistakes are the best blessin's
Lowest and the highest are the best sections
Sink or swim
'Cause if you only treadin' water you ain't going places
My childhood friends can't relate to that
Even most of my family can't relate to that
I ain't trying to put them on blast
I just want to let society know what's up with me
My words ain't got to rhyme so you could see
I ain't perfect man I'm just the prototype
Trial and error it's all good
'Cause its the messiness that only gets it right
That process if I had no stress
In regards to this I would've quit by now, so
[Chorus: Just Matthew]
Be with me now
I feel your presence
You be my covers
Distant protection (yeah)
Be with me now (oh yeah)
How am I destined?
I need an answer
For all of my questions
Be with me now (oh yeah)
I feel your presence
