WHO’S CHECKIN Lyrics by RENE BROWN

2014

[Intro]
I been poppin' pills like the doctor said
All they really do is fuck up my head
Nightmares of Afghanistan
Cold sweats every night goddamn
I been feeling held back this year
I'm the first of my kind
But I have no fear
Never question myself again
I'm fucken insane
Where the fuck y'all been?
[Hook]
Where the fuck I been?
In the lab with a pad and a pen
Where the fuck y'all been?
Bullshittin' again with your friends
Who's checking for me? (X8)
[Verse 1]
Pill poppin'
Ain't ate all day
Now I'm nauseous
These labels look over me
I'll kill everyone on their roster
That's regardless
Rated R shit
Cocaine in my apartment
White girls in a mosh pit
Mix this and trees with a hit list
And I'm fucken relentless
Yall picture me quitting now
When their checkin' me out
And my shit bang loud
Bet they know it's me
When I rock the crowd
Lettin' weak niggas in?
But I'm not allowed
Fuck that I'm crack
I never let a hatin' mutherfucken nigga hold me back
Niggas can't rap just act
An I guess I Never really did like that
Take me back
When I loved to rap
And the ones that I loved
Really watched my back
It wasn't enough
Now I'm smoking packs
Packs on packs on packs
Chasing racks on racks on racks
And I never kick back
Cuz I gotta get that
Put em in my shoes
And You wouldn't last
Smoke it down like its my last
Put em in the grass
Gasp. grasp, liven fast
Like I'm livin' in a dash
And I win
Getting high-
Solo no friends
Why would I pretend to
When they blowin' like the wind do
And If this shit offends you
Put it on like a fit shoe
Cuz I really did intend to
And there's nuthin that you can do
[Hook]
Where the fuck I been
In the lab with a pad and a pen
Where the fuck y'all been?
Bullshittin again with your friends?
Where the fuck I been?
In the lab with a pad and a pen
Where the fuck I been?
In the lab with a pad and a pen
Who's checkin' for me? (X8)
[Verse 2]
Man I swear I never get this high
Feelin' invisible
And I hope I blow in time
To murder your favorite rappers line for line
All I do is rhyme
Fighting off demons
One day at a time
If you ready for me
Tellem one more time
Time to fuck up the game
The people say put Rene inside
And I never understood why
They don't wanna give me my shine
But I never even asked why
I just told em they can Kiss my
Keep hating on a nigga
While I get signed
And I been grindn
Done paid dos
On ya 3rd mixtape
But they don't fuck with you
And I know
My shits over due
But they checkin' for me
They ain't checkin' for you
[Bridge]
Who's checkin for me (for me)
The top is all I really see
Who's checkin' for me
Adderall and Hennessy
They checkin' for me (for me, for me)
They checkin' for me
Adderral and Hennessy
[Hook]
