Baptize Me (6762) Lyrics by Rev. J. M. Gates

The Paramount Project Volume 5 (12400-12499)

0

[Introduction]
My beloved brethrens and sisters and friends (Amen), we are down here on the banks of this Jordan this morning (Yes sir) (Amen) to symbolize the death and burial (Yes sir) (Amen) of our Lord, Savior Jesus Christ (Amen) in water (Yes sir) and our re-resurrection (Yes sir) (Amen). I believe that a man or woman (Amen) (Yes sir) who has been borned again (Yes sir) should be baptized (So true) (Yes sir); it is as much natural (That's the truth) (Amen) as it is for a little duck (Amen) (Yes sir) to desire water (Yes sir) (Amen).
[Verse 1]
Oh, take me to the water
Take me to the water
Take me to the water
Baptize me
[Interlude]
Obedient (Amen) to the commandment (Yes sir) (Yes)
I'll baptize you, my brother (Oh yes)
On the confession of your sins (Yes) (Yes sir)
In the name of the Father (Yes sir)
And of the Son (Amen) (Yes)
And of the Holy Ghost (Amen)
[Verse 2]
Oh then, none but the righteous
None but the righteous
None but the righteous
Shall see God
[Interlude]
Obedient (Amen) to the commandment (Oh yes) (Yes sir)
I'll baptize you, my sister (Oh yes) (Amen)
On the confession of your sins (Yes sir)
In the name of the Father (Yes) (Yes sir)
And of the Son (Yes sir)
And of the Holy Ghost (Amen)
[Verse 1]
Oh, take me to the water
Take me to the water
Take me to the water
Baptize me
[Interlude]
Obedient (Amen) (Have mercy) to the commandment (Yes sir) (Amen)
I'll baptize you, my sister (Yes sir)
On the confession of your sins (Yes sir) (So true)
In the name of the Father (Oh yes)
And of the Son (Yes sir)
And of the Holy Ghost (Amen)
[Verse 1]
Oh, take me to the water
Take me to the water
Take me to the water
Baptize me
Oh, take me to the water
Take me to the water
Take me to the water
Baptize me
