The First Time Lyrics by Rhona Bennett

Rhona

2001

[Verse 1]
The stars were falling
The air was still
I still remember
I always will
My heart was flying
So high above
It was the first time
I fell in love
[Chorus 1]
And in that moment
I felt so pure
I was so frightened
But yet so sure
You were the hero (The hero)
That I dreamed of
It was the first time
I fell in love
[Verse 2]
You were so sorry
I was so sad
You were the best thing
I'd ever had
My heart was breaking
I thought I'd die
It was the first time
I said goodbye
[Chorus 2]
And in the darkness
Of that lonely night
When I held you
I held on too tight
I lost the hero (The hero)
That I dreamed of
It was the first time
I lost my love
(I'd lost him, oh
Ooh, I lost him)
[Bridge]
But, oh
I am crying
'Cause I am not close
Some love forever
But some loves you lose
I lost the hero (The hero)
That I dreamed of
It was the first time
I fell in love
It was the very first time
I fell in love
It won't be the last time, no
I fall in love
[Outro]
(Ooh)
First time (It was the first time)
First time (That I fell in love)
Won't be the last time (But it won't be the last time, no)
First time (You and me, me and you, ooh)
First time (I thought it was forever, yeah)
First time (Baby, me and you, hey)
Won't be the last time (But it won't be the last time)
First time (No, no, no, no)
First time (The first time)
First time (That I fall in love, hey)
Won't be the last time (The last time, hey)
First time (Ooh, oh)
First time (Maybe one day I'll find, ooh)
First time (Another love, somebody that cares)
Won't be the last time (I still remember our love, yeah yeah)
First time (And I always, always, always will)
