Verse One: "A little man-to-be, Stranded on a makeshift canopy, Index on the radio, Waiting on a fantasy, Circle with a red fill, Underneath my hand to be, Pressed it when a rap tune rang into reality, I saw the duality, people acting childishly, blurred the lines of character and storyteller stylishly, mom and dads were not the biggest fans so naturally I would sneak cassettes of artists I would seek into my pillowcase and sleep, that kind of contraband must've made me creative, it made me guilty of loving the innovative, if they'd have found em they'd probably play the plaintiff but I was determined greater than their detection could favor, I never wanted their narrative for my own, no care to give for the colors they wear or sign that's thrown, the marriage I opted into was not what I would condone, but rather pictures they painted made me want to paint my own."

Verse Two: "Where does the inspiration come from when I'm in the studio until the sun comes? Got me thinking back to when I was a young one. Lyin' to moms thinking that she was the dumb one. I told her that parental advisories didn't matter. And rappers didn't cuss it was more for the matter and the themes and the images that they project. It took a lot of work to get her not to object. But deep down I knew she wouldn't really approve because of the way she raised me to have values. I put nothing on the record that I wouldn't say on record, I take pride in my content as well as my effort. Music is like a window to the soul, and integrity through the pain is the goal, so I'm going all in. I won't fold. Cuz' that's the only way my story will be told (for real)."
