[Verse 1]
I won't go back
I won't go back
I won't go back
I won't go back
I won't go back
I won't go back
I won't go back
I won't go back
My God's been good to me
My God's been good to me
I won't, I won't go back
[Verse 2]
My soul says, "Yes"
Soul says, "Yes"
Soul says, "Yes"
Soul says, "Yes"
My soul says, "Yes"
Soul says, "Yes"
Soul says, "Yes"
Soul says, "Yes"
My God's been good to me
My God's been good to me
I won't, I won't go back
[Chorus]
He's been better to me
Better than I've been to myself
I won't, I won't go back (Yes)
He's been better to me
Better than I've been to myself
I won't, I won't go back
[Verse 3]
I press my way
I press my way
I press my way
I press my way
I press my way
I press my way
I press my way
I press my way
My God's been good to me
My God's been good to me
I won't, I won't go back
[Chorus]
He's been better to me
Better than I've been to myself
I won't, I won't go back (Yes)
He's been better to me
Better than I've been to myself
I won't, I won't go back
[Verse 4]
I said I won't (I won't go back)
I won't go back (I won't, I won't go back)
No, I won't (I won't go back)
I won't go back (I won't, I won't go back)
I've crawled through the fire (I won't go back)
And I've been through the flood (I won't, I won't go back)
I've come this far (I won't go back)
To turn my back on Jesus (I won't, I won't go back)
I've been through depression (I won't go back)
Even low self-esteem (I won't, I won't go back)
I came back from suicide (I won't go back)
But the Holy Ghost was on my side (I won't, I won't go back)
I can't go back (I won't go back)
To the way it used to be (I won't, I won't go back)
Ever since the Lord (I won't go back)
Came in my life and changed me (I won't, I won't go back)
Said yeah, yeah, oh
[Verse 5]
Hear us, Lord
Yeah, said I won't (I won't go back)
I won't go back (I won't, I won't go back)
God is the source (I won't go back)
And the strength of my life (I won't, I won't go back)
He heals our pain (I won't go back)
The misery and strife (I won't, I won't go back)
You don't have to stay (I won't go back)
In the shape that you've been (I won't, I won't go back)
Because the Lord wants to put you back (I won't go back)
Back together again (I won't, I won't go back)
Since I met Jesus (I won't go back)
My whole life has changed (I won't, I won't go back)
And it's because of Him (I won't go back)
I'm no longer the same (I won't, I won't go back)
He changed my desires (I won't go back)
And filled me with His Holy Ghost's fire (I won't, I won't go back)
I thank you (I won't go back)
For never giving up on me (I won't, I won't go back)
I said, Lord, I thank you (I won't go back)
For setting us all free, Lord (I won't, I won't go back)
My soul says, "Yes" (I won't go back)
"Yes to Your will" (I won't, I won't go back)
My soul says, "Yes" (I won't go back)
"Yes to Your will" (I won't, I won't go back)
I won't go back (I won't go back)
Yes, I won't (I won't, I won't go back)
Can't go back to the old way of living (I won't go back)
Can't go back to the old way of thinking (I won't go back)
No, no, no, no, never
[Chorus]
(He's been better to me) Oh
(Better than I've been to myself) Woo
(He's been better to me) I can truly show you
(Better than I've been to myself) That Jesus brought me all the way
(He's been better to me) He brought me out of darkness
(Better than I've been to myself) Into the marvelous light
(He's been better to me) He pays my deed faithfully
(Better than I've been to myself) And gave me the strength to fight
(He's been better to me) My God is so faithful
(Better than I've been to myself) And He's true
(I won't, I won't go back) I won't go back
[Outro]
Come on, clap your hands
Tenors, do them hard no's
(No, I won't go back)
Would y'all clap your hands if you're not goin' back?
Ladies, join 'em
(No, I won't go back)
Now move in the spirit with us, everybody
Next time they try to make you go to them old places
You tell 'em (No, I won't go back)
If they try to get you
To lay down like you used to lay down, you tell 'em
(No, I won't go back)
Those of you who was in abusive relationships, you tell 'em
(No, I won't go back)
No (No, I won't go back)
Now, come on and clap your hands for us
We got a line dance for ya
We got a line dance for ya
If y'all clap your hands, we'll do it
Clap your hands right here
Here we go, line dance here
To the front, left, step, step, step, take it back now
And turn, take it up now
Slide, step, step, step, take it back now
Turn, turn, turn, and to the right now

And some of y'all still go to the club, it's alright
Thank God for His grace

Some of y'all act all deep
Y'all sneak to the club all the time and now you don't wanna come to church and dance
Are you ready to go?
I won't go back
Are you ready to go?
One, two, three, to the right now
Step, step, step, take it back now
Rock and turn, huh, uh
To the right now, left, step, step, step, step
Take it back now, and turn
To the right now, left now, step, step, step, step
Take it back now, ah, ah, and turn, hey
To the right now, to the left now, step, step, step, step
Take it back now, ah, and turn, clap your hands, boy
Thank you for loving, thank y'all
