Feed the World, Feed the Fasting Lyrics by Rizwan Hussain

2009

[Verse 1: Abdullah Rolle]
Oh people of the world, what if it was you or me?
Who was crying in the streets, without any food to eat
Let's open up our hearts, and feed the boys and the girls
Feed our minds & feed our souls, when we help to feed the world
[Chorus: Abdullah Rolle]
Feed the world, feed the fasting
Earn reward, for everlasting
Feed the world, feed the fasting
Earn reward, for everlasting
Feed the world
[Verse 2: Muslim Belal]
People are hungry, these children are dying
Mothers are crying, let us stop denying
Chasing the dunya, forgetting the sunnah
Wanting much more, wanting it all
Feed the world, feed the fasting
Earn rewards, for everlasting
Feed the world, feed the fasting
Earn reward, for everlasting
[Verse 3: Khaleel Muhammad]
Open up your heart
And free your mind from this world of greed
It takes sacrifice and the grace of God
And the community that cares
So what's the use of us holding on?
Cuz if just one of us falls, then we all fall
The world is what we make of it
So let's make this world a place of peace
[Chorus: Abdullah Rolle]
Feed the world, feed the fasting
Earn reward, for everlasting
Feed the world, feed the fasting
Earn reward, for everlasting
Feed the world
[Verse 4: Mecca2Medina (Ismael & Rakin)]
Starvation got the third world on lock
We ignore charity appeals for came on a mental block
We waste grains on guns, cars, and estaters perks
Our compatriots are starving, and they can't get work
Nuff respect to all the charities and the NGOs
We need forgiveness for all our shortcomings and woes
Yeah, put up your hand if you want to feed the poor
Fussing and fighting, we don't want it no more
M2M say, poverty no more
We don't want more poor, and we don't want war
Too many kids are starving, too much to ignore
They're down in Africa, the money makes a detour
With the West, the main pest is fat and the beast
While they starve in Bangladesh, we arrange another feast
When we give in charity, the blessings are numerous
We gotta be generous, if we want Allah to bless
[Chorus: Masum (Labbayk) & Rizwan Hussain]
Feed the world, feed the fasting
Earn reward, for everlasting
Feed the world, feed the fasting
Earn reward, for everlasting
Feed the world
