Smokescreen Lyrics by RÚARY (IRL)

Four Fires

2022

[Verse 1]
We were made to set you free
Goes the call of each modern day atrocity
Born with curiosity
That gets stomped out by the safety of promised unity
[Chorus]
So I took one step forward and fell ten steps back
I'll be lucky if I ever get my senses back
I've got wool in my eyes
And a smokescreen in my head
I took one step forward and fell ten steps back
I'll be lucky if I get shy of a heart attack
I've got wool in my eyes
And a smokescreen in my head
[Verse 2]
Days where I forget to breathe
I miss the colors, miss the warmth and the touch of those who see
Jealous to the nth degree
Summer's coming, but I just can't see it reaching me
[Chorus]
Cos I took one step forward and fell ten steps back
I'll be lucky if I ever get my senses back
I've got wool in my eyes
And a smokescreen in my head
I took one step forward and fell ten steps back
I'll be lucky if I get shy of a heart attack
I've got wool in my eyes
And a smokescreen in my head
[Bridge]
Some people they dream, they dream of something bigger
You didn't notice my dreams just stayed the same
And most people they wish, they wish for something better
But what could be better than falling apart with you
[Chorus]
So I took one step forward and fell ten steps back
I'll be lucky if I ever get my senses back
I've got wool in my eyes
And a smokescreen in my head
'Cause I took one step forward and fell ten steps back
I'll be lucky if I get shy of a heart attack
I've got wool in my eyes
And a smokescreen in my head
[Outro]
A smokescreen
A smokescreen
A smokescreen
A smokescreen
