The Kola Superdeep Borehole Lyrics by Ryan Wall

Forgotten Oil Rigs

2020

Kola
Kola
Kola
Kola
Kola
There was snow
On the cloudberries
It seemed like I walked forever
Through the hills
There's a beacon
Of the past
An open wound
Like snot
Dripping out my nostril
Like reversed smoke
Flowing out
My soul led me
To the Kola superdeep
And then released itself
To find the greatness underneath
The borehole
My soul led me
To the Kola supеrdeep
To find a resting place
In the Kola supеrdeep borehole
I stood up
From the hole
A piece of me is missing now
I'm just walking around
With no where to go
My soul is under the ground
On its way all the way down
And I am walking around endlessly
Trailing red in the snow
My soul is under the ground
On its way all the way down
And I am walking around endlessly
For no reason at all
Blood was running through my veins
Telling me
Don't give up
Don't give up
Don't let them
Steal your fate
Don't let them
Close the hole
No
No
Don't let them
Steal your fate
It can die
Is this where I die
On these plains of snow
The white
One last cloudberry
From the brush
The sweet to grace
These human lips
Is this where I die
None will be remembered
And that's fine
Here's where I die
