This was an end of a chapter for me, end of chapter one

This talent of mine I’m battling
The feelings inside my chest, I am sad
Going home seems like a bad thing
I come from a period of laughing
Talking previous, past tense
I only got hours, my last chance
To say goodbye to one of my best friends
And here I am rapping about what has been
One of the best chapters of my life
I grabbed the mic and started attacking
We both know I’m the next thing
And I’ll do it without flexing
I’m about standing out, not blending in
Now I’m just ranting, shit
I got my sister next to me and we are missing one of 3
We became the musketeers, but cooler, chilling casually
In a home on wheels, drinking Belgian beers
At 4 in the afternoon, I gotta drop her off real soon
I might not see her ‘till next June
Or even later, it’s gonna be a while
I know, but still I’m in denial
That all of my friends who were the center of my life
Are going to be separated from me by miles and miles
Here them from time to time
But not every day, like I’m used to
Man, I hate goodbyes
They say family is your blood
You don’t get to choose them
Well, that’s just stupid
These are more than friends
I don’t need blood to prove it
I don’t know what I’m doing
Mind going crazy, I’m losing it
I don’t care if I shoot and miss
I no longer wanna be the coolest kid
I just wanna be important to them
I’m used to being their friend
