The Numbers Lyrics by Sage Balboa

Spoon

2023

[Intro]
They say it's one in a million
Or are expectations too high?
This experience was thrilling
So I’ll make one of mine
Prophecies stating the case
And with the sharp of a blade
Can depart both of my ways
Haunting me like I escaped
Should I ignore all my mates
Or should I appreciate, oh woah
[Pre-Chorus]
This is the part
Where the dark winter turns to summer
Want to go far
But a party is not productive
This is the part
Where my mind can't get any number
Give it my heart
Check the time, but we lost the numbers
[Verse 1]
Asleep over the desk
And I'm under the public’s command
I get a second to rest
That's a second less than what's planned, oh
All of me feels like a blur
No, things are not like they were
Heard unforgettable words
Prophecies wanting my words
Repeated just like they heard
But all of this is absurd
[Pre-Chorus]
This is the part
Where the dark winter turns to summer
Want to go far
But a party is not productive
It's the part
Where my mind can't get any number
Give it my heart
Check the time, but we lost the numbers
[Chorus]
This is the part, no
Don't go too far, oh
I'll be star if you believe in me
This is the part, no
Don't go too far, oh
I’ll be star, you just believe in me
[Pre-Chorus]
This is the part
Where the dark winter turns to summer
Want to go far
But a party is not productive
This is the part
Where my mind can’t get any number
Give it my heart
Check the time, but we lost the numbers
[Chorus]
This is the part, no
Don't go too far, oh
I’ll be star if you believe in me
This is the part, no
Don't go too far, oh
I'll be star, you just believe in me
[Pre-Chorus]
This is the part
Where the dark winter turns to summer
Want to go far
But a party is not productive
This is the part
Where my mind can't get any number
Give it my heart
Check the time, but we lost (the numbers)
[Chorus]
This is the part, no
Don’t go too far, oh
I'll be star if you believe in me
This is the part, no
Don't go too far, oh
I'll be star you just believe in me
