OFFICIAL SXSW 2013 Recap Rap for Dave Grohl Keynote Lyrics by SaulPaul

OFFICIAL SXSW 2013 Keynote Recap Raps Mixtape

It’s SaulPaul, how fresh is that
I actually have Dave Grohl playing on the recap rap
He was today’s SXSW Keynote Speaker
And since it’s a rap, REMIX!
Yeah, yeah, yeah I had to do it
Recorded live on the spot, took it back and then I looped it
I couldn’t help it, I make what I hear in my head
Same thang he was doing when he was sitting on his bed
As a teen recording, that’s what he reported
He said today’s the same but the guitars are more distorted
And that’s the way the story goes
When he stepped on stage though, you saw where the glory flowed
It was all love (love), standing ovation (‘vation)
The crowd was turnt up (up)
Wasn’t no hatin (hatin)
First thing he said, first line, I’m talking first verse
He said it 3 times, he said “Musician comes first”
Then he spoke on bringing visions to fruition
And what it takes to actually be a working musician
He spoke on dedication and passion
Finding your inner beast and releasing the Krakken
That’s what he did when Kurt Cobain died
He said he changed and wasn’t the same guy
At one point he felt betrayed by the music
Then he took all that emotion and pulled an Hadouken
He bounced back with a Foo Fighter fireball
Minus one track, (yeah) he played’em all
Drums, bass, vocals and the six string
The band name? He said that was the hardest thing!
He kept it simple, he didn’t try to make it sound pretty
He talked about his new documentary Sound City
Then he was gon’ (gon’), Poof like Casper
I’m SaulPaul, I’ll holla atcha
