Not Where I’m Going Lyrics by Savannah Conley

Surprise, Surprise

2021

[Verse 1]
My mother's kinda worried
She keeps it to herself
Been runnin' around but I don't see myself slowin' down
Can you blame me for the questions
[?]
When I carry the weight on my shoulders
And you feel when it all washes over?
[Pre-Chorus]
Skimmin' the surface of all our mistakes
How can I love you and feel far away?
Tired of fightin'
I'm tired and I've drifted away from myself
[Chorus]
Maybe I'll go back to the city
Maybe I'll find someone with a heart of gold
Maybe I'll smoke that weed I got for free
I know how the story is told
I know that's where I've been
But it's not where I'm goin'
Ahh
Ahhhh
[Verse 2]
My friends are gеttin' married
Do I really have to go?
'Causе all that it does is remind me that I'm alone
[Pre-Chorus]
I don't need them feelin' sorry for me
Everythin' feels like it's [?]
Who's in control?
Is it you, is it me, is it God?
[?] breathin'
[Chorus]
Maybe I'll go back to the city
Maybe I'll find someone with a heart of gold
Maybe I'll smoke that weed I got for free
Oh, I know how the story is told
I know that's where I've been
But it's not where I'm goin'
Ahhhh
Ahhh ahh ah
Ahhhhhhhhhh
Ahhh
[Chorus]
Maybe I'll go back to the city
Maybe I'll find someone with a heart of gold
Maybe I'll smoke that weed I got for free
I know how the story is told
I know that's where I've been
But it's not where I'm goin'
I know that's where I've been
But it's not where I'm goin'
Ahh
