Alibi Coast Lyrics by Sebastian Blanck

Alibi Coast

2010

[Verse 1: Sebastian Blanck and Both]
The further west the worse it will get
And there's no further west than the town you just left
On the alibi coast your avalanche hopes
Have fallen apart and turned mountains to ghosts
And confessions you've given regardless of truth
Are beyond suspension and beyond excuse
[Chorus: Sebastian Blanck and Both]
Don't go to L.A
Don't push yourself away so fast
One more thing I have to ask
Please stay
[Verse 2: Sebastian Blanck and Caroline Polachek]
The further west the worse it will get
And I'll beg you again don't go see for yoursеlf
If you make a plea pleasе don't make it for me
I know I'll be better off once I can leave
[Chorus: Both]
Don't go to L.A
Don't push yourself away so fast
One more thing I have to ask
Please stay
[Bridge: Both]
Don't go
Please don't go
Don't go
Please don't go
[Verse 2: Caroline Polachek]
The further west the worse my regret
But I'll never go further than Los Angeles
It's far enough to hang the phone up
And never see you again despite my love
[Chorus: Both]
Don't go to L.A
Don't push yourself away so fast
One more thing I have to ask
Please stay
