Heavy on the Weekend Lyrics by Seth Charleston

Head High EP

2023

It's getting heavy on the weekend
A Friday night but you're on my mind
At a party full of strangers
Passing time with a cigarette
Talking shit with the man who handed me his light
He doesn't like it when the party's only alcohol
I smile and nod as if I care about his bullshit
I don't wanna hear another lick
All this frontin'
Think I've had enough of it
I keep on wishing
I could be with you right now instead
It's getting heavy on the weekend
A Friday night but you're on my mind
At a party full of strangers
We're getting drunk
But you know I'd rather be
All alone in your company, yeah
I've been longing for your touch
I don't really care what anybody thinks
'Cause every tale is tall after a couple drinks
He knows Obama through somebody's brother's kid
She won the lotto back in 1996
I see it through it like a tunnel on the freeway
If you were here
We would be surely on the same page
I keep looking around
Hoping I'll see your face
It's getting heavy on the weekend
A Friday night but you're on my mind
At a party full of strangers
We're getting drunk
But you know I'd rather be
All alone in your company, yeah
I've been longing for your touch
I see it through it like a tunnel on the freeway
If you were here
We would be surely on the same page
I keep looking around
Hoping I'll see your face
But you know I'd rather be
All alone in your company
Yeah, I've been longing for your touch
It's getting heavy on the weekend
A Friday night but you're on my mind
At a party full of strangers
We're getting drunk
But you know I'd rather be
All alone in your company, yeah
I've been longing for your touch
