With expectations of what happened and what is going to happen
You can see tears are being shed for more than a thousand martyrs
And today another one was martyred, but in front of me
I held him with my own arms
His last words followed by his last breath
Asking my mother to take care of her children
It was me who wiped her tears
I gathered my wounds of sadness and enshrouded them; then I buried them in my heart
Now January 16th has turned to be my funeral instead of my birthday
Today the one who's asking for peace is abandoning his life
They advised me to be patient but I have been more than that
Now I have no other choice but rejecting the truce

This is my message for the people of Gaza
For the children of the camps
For every mother and father, for all the martyrs who rest in heaven
Maybe I'm far away but my heart is with Gaza
I'm not living with the situation but I can feel your wounds inside, all over my own body
Once a six-or-seven year old child saw what is happening to Gaza's children in the news and asked me:
Why?
Why are those kids not living the way I do?
Why are they suffering?
Why don't they have homes like me?
I feel like crying
I told him not to cry, I know their path is long, tough and hard
But tomorrow we are going to get Gaza back
We will get it back with victory and pride
And I will sing again
