he stated this case to her
By the agreement with her brother
he had won her as his bride
because Argalia failed to joust him
by default his was the victory
Angelique told Agrikhan
her brother was murdered
She considered their agreement,
thus, to be null and void
Agrikhan left in anger
riding Bayard to the North
where he would gather allies
to take Angelique by force
