Halton Tribute Lyrics by Shifty UK

2008

(Intro)
Listen, yeah
I've just got one thing to say
Rest In Peace Halton, Big Halts
Missed by everyone, my bro
Listen
(Verse 1)
When I first heard the news Halton got shot
I was like one sec, Halton got what
Are you being serious everybody knows Haltons not hot
I was like where abouts and who's did it?
She was like gospel you know in the chippy
I was like one sec let me make a call
Can you phone me back in a minute?
I phone Ingham and told him the news
He thought I was lying so he told me to move
I know I've lied about things but this is real
I swear I've just told you truth
He came straight round, put his hands on his head
And sat there his face straight down
It killed knowing my friend had been shot
And I was watching my other friend break down
You don't know the feeling inside
You wanna stay strong but you're feeling to cry
Halton weren't hot, he'd never been in the hype
He was a walking angel you could see it in his smile
So fuck what you all said
Halton weren't down with the blue or red
But now he's underneath, why?
When all's he did was work and play Sunday league
Yo God let me ask you a question
Why do you always take the good guys?
You could see it through your own eyes
Halton weren't living the thug life
Imagine the pain that we feel
Think of the things going through his Mums eyes
Halton we'll see you soon
Stay safe up there, goodnight
(Outro)
That's it yeah, short and sweet
Everybody knows who's real and whats real
You see like, what I dont like and is disrespectful
Everyone trying to do R.I.P tracks like they know him or
Was related or connected to him
That ain't real man, be real to yourself
Id you didn't know him don't join in the hype
Big up everybody feeling the pain
R.ip Halts yeah, I guarantee that i'll see you soon
I love you bro
