Komodo Dragon Lyrics by Shmakity

0

[Hook]
The world shied away from, when I was scared.
People I look up to lied to me and didn't seem to care.
Seems that there's no good to be found, when you're alone.
Before I slip, please give me something to hold.
Up late, rise early, working hard all through the day.
Thing is they can't feel the pain, they want to hate, they don't feel shame.
I know that they don't understand, but how can I make them know,
that just because they had it easy, doesn't mean that they can't grow?
[Verse 1]
I like simple things, but I'm as complex as it gets.
I try my best, then try harder until I break out in sweats.
But then again, when I duck, it ends over my head,
so when I reach for the stars it proves this dream isn't dead.
Fuck you critics, or should I say anyone who's heard me?
Opinions are facts to people who are concerning,
yet not taking a stand, just talking like the news.
Well I have a theory that's impossible to prove.
And it makes sense, yet it doesn't, I'm a paradox with a mind.
How are we supposed to know if facts are full of lies?
Before we knew anything about the stars or skies,
we didn't read between the lines, and we still don't know why.
I guess we still don't, otherwise maybe then we would know.
When the Earth floods, you'll look for anything that floats your boat.
Man, I was like this way before I ever wrote.
Practice makes perfect, takes time, so keep it slow.

[Verse 2]
I didn't get rewarded very often, for being myself,
but I was never satisfied when I acted fake...
And I just can't call people out anymore,
'cause even if they hurt you know, they can still save the day.
But, then again, you could help them learn if they're intuitive.
Then again, they could be defensive if they need to be,
even if they don't, even if choke, even if they go
to the next level, just to get a chance to see.
I wanna be the next big voice of this generation.
I'm just being honest, I wanna get of topic.
The way they like to display the things they hate is overrated,
the way I see it, if it's not personal, say it!
Just please keep an open mind, I try to most times,
then close it tight and try to act polite... Wait.
The day that I slave is a time that I've tried,
is a way to reach the end of the night.
