Adelmund’s Curse Lyrics by Skycrater

Forests of Shadow

2017

Cold is our life, though sweet it used to be
The sky was blue the trees and grass were green
Cold is our forest, asleep are all the trees
Adelmund, the Spirit of Life, left
Where did he go? Why did he leave?
Now we’re left alone with ourselves
Bold were our hearts, blind were our eyes
Selfish we lived, selfish we will die
Spirit of Life, Father of all
Where did you go to? Come back
Spirit of Light, life of all things
Bring your light back to our world
Blind were our eyes
We should have foreseen it
Blind were our hearts and our souls
Will we survive this?
Cursed we are, we will pay for our selfness
Long enough we’ve been blind
Long did he watch on us all while we slept
Soon the storm will begin
Spirit of Life, Father of all
Where did you go to? Come back
Spirit of Light, life of all things
Bring your light back to our world
Aaaaah
Aaaaah
Why hide? Or why flee our curse
Why cry? We know we deserve this fate
We were blind, and we rejected Him
We did lie, to try to hide our sins
Spirit of Life, Father of all
Where did you go to? Come back
Spirit of Light, life of all things
Bring your light back to our world
