Behind Closed Curtains Lyrics by Slowlyfaintly

Whale Knife

2022

You are in the big art scene
MOMA and magazines
While I can’t be arsed to shower
Or simply floss my teeth
(While I can’t be arsed to brush my teeth)
Mimi’s making big textiles
Brian designs cool things
While I get pestered by a dude
Says buttons should be green
(I get pestered to make buttons green)
I once tried to be someone
But too ADHD to think
Now I try to pretend that
It adds to my mystique
(And I pretend I have a mystique)
And then there’s Tin travеling the world
His new friends arе so chic
Then posting photos of
His freshly tanned physique
(Then posting photos of his physique)
I can’t say what we’ve achieved
Partnered disgrace
Behind closed curtains
Let me tell you about Andy
My junior to some degree
Who’s now sailing in a yacht
Sipping a daiquiri
(Who’s sailing with a daiquiri)
Or my illustrator friends on
The socials way back when
Who now have contracts with brands
And living in Brooklyn
(Who has contrasts in Brooklyn)
