Sick Man Lyrics by Sonny Terry, Brownie McGhee

At the 2nd Fret

0

Well I'm a sick man now
My health is failin' me
Yeah I'm a sick man now
Poor Terry's health is failin' me
Well you know it got me so worried
Oh It'll only end in misery
Whoah ya know I went all over the world
Done everything a poor man could do
Oh ya know I been all over the world
Done everything a poor man can do
Well ya know I had a whole lot of pretty women
And I drank a whole lot of whiskey too
Well I never got what my mama told me
She said son don't travel so fast
Well I never forget what my mama told me
She said Sonny Boy don't travel so fast
Cuz up the line the devil got the road blocked
And he just won't let you pass
Oh yeah
Well ya know I ain't gonna worry
Oh but I think I done pretty well
Oh ya know I ain't want to worry
Poor Sonny done pretty well
Well ya know if I die and I don't go to heaven
I be way down in burnin' hell
