My God Rides a Skateboard Lyrics by Spermbirds

Something to Prove

0

Well I was ridin' my board
Just the other day
It slipped out from under me
And went away
Went under a car and now it’s broke
Can't skate no more
I ain't got no hope
I went inside and turned on the TV
Jerry Falwell was lookin’ at me
He said you want to go to heaven
There's just one thing
You gotta help me pay for this damned ring
I was just gonna send him a check I signed
When the only thing that saved me
Was a friend of mine
He said don't give money to things you hate
Here's another board
Come on, let's skate
Pray for salvation and what do you get?
A preacher with a limo
And a mouth full of shit
I'm through with their promises
I'm through with lies
I'll see them in hell
When those fuckers die
My god rides a skateboard
My god rides a skateboard
My god rides a skateboard
My god rides a skateboard
That’s a fact
Religion is fine
If that’s what you need
But don't be victim
Of some dickhead’s greed
I don't care how Jim Bakker feels
His shit don't bother me
My god's on wheels
My god rides a skateboard
My god rides a skateboard
My god rides a skateboard
My god rides a skateboard
Oh yeah man
So pray for salvation
And what do you get?
A preacher with a limo
Who don’t give a shit
I think they're lying
I think they don't care
You can't go to heaven
If the checkbook's not there
My god rides a skateboard
My god rides a skateboard
My god rides a skateboard
My god rides a skateboard
