Eddie tried to kill himself, I couldn’t bear it
Tried to speak, but I couldn’t, believe my ears, but I wouldn’t
My entire world became fragile and shooken
The straight lines in the picture of life became crooked
I couldn’t even imagine how his family took it
This is that chapter in the book that you don’t wanna look in
You’re gonna have to face the rain and brace yourself
It’s times like these that force feed you a painful taste of hell
It’s the kind of thing that contorts you into a tangled hollow shell
The throb of the knot in my throat is starting to swell
Suicide is a concept that don’t seem to sit well
Please lend your ears to this true story that I tell
Maybe you gonna learn something to save someone else
Don’t ever be ashamed to go out and get some help
I know because I’ve struggled for years
And I’ve gotten treatment myself
It’s important that we care for our mental health

Why the hell would someone choose to have such an affliction
And this includes anyone who’s coping with addiction
These are real fuckin conditions
Since I was ten years old, this the shit I’ve lived with
When I go to work to heal the hurt, it’s the worst I witness
