Prologue Lyrics by Steignyr

Echoes From The Elder Faith

2024

1. PROLOGUE (feat. Sarah Owens)
A Warrior catches her breath after regaining consciousness after the fight. She’s the last one of their kind. And the clock is ticking
[The WARRIOR]:
Here I sit… In the aftermath of a battle. Surrounded by the ruins of what once was and never came to be again. Memories of my fallen comrades haunt me still, their faces engraved in my mind forever
We gave evеrything we had, didn’t we, lads? But at what cost…We won this battlе, sure we did… but not the war
I am now the last of my kind, the last guardian of this ancient knowledge that has passed down through generations over and over... My ancestors entrusted me with the burden of protecting and preserving it, but without you it just falls heavier and heavier… And its weight tells me time has come to pass it on
I can’t agree with that. Though I know it must be done. But to whom?
Are there still enough left? Will their minds be so open to carry it?
Our world is in ruins and the fate of humanity hangs in the balance of what is real and what we were taught it was
I remember the day it all began. The day this darkness came and threatened to consume us all for good. We fought back, we fought “them” with every breath from our lungs and every beat of our hearts. As the ones who brought hope to the hopeless, who shone light into the dark... We have emerged victorious
But no rest is meant for the “wicked” that stand before injustice
Our enemy has become powerful and has managed to infiltrate everywhere in our society. They seek control by manipulating us.., to keep us in the cold and enslaved. They have succeeded. Until now
We lost too much today but we will not be defeated. It is my duty to finish what we started. We have to rise up and fight. With every breath in our lungs and every beat of our hearts
We are the ones who can bring hope to the hopeless, who shine the light in the darkness. Rise from the ashes and break the chains that bind us down. But even though, we can’t do it alone. We need help
Your assistance
Until the day comes that you awaken and someone takes my lead, I’ll keep on watching over the world, and waiting. Waiting for the next guardian to rise. Fighting against those who crawl upon us poor humans. Always reminding myself about the sacrifices made before
The lives that were lost. The lives I have lost. And the light that shone through their darkness
