Steven Darnell, from Montgomery Alabama

What got you into music?

Early on in life my dreams to pursue music was more-so something I kept to myself. The ability to write music was a gift I kept guarded from others; mainly from fear of being ridiculed. As I got older things just sort of fell in place and it seemed as if my dreams were just meant to be. With the trials of life weighing heavy on me, I really turned to rap as a relief. Initially I remembered all of my influences that inspired me growing up. Over time I really grew into my own and found my voice.

What makes you different?

My work ethic will always separate me. I’m willing to out work anyone. My love and passion for my music.
My understanding that evolution as an artist is important. Growth and knowledge is key. Humility and being a sponge is essential.
I can never remain the same artist, for art imitates life.

What's your favorite lyric you made?

“Too much pride to say he love it ,Too much hate in your blood
Haters threw me to the wolves
I came back with a fur”

What do you plan on achieving or promoting?

I ultimately plan on being the #1 artist in the country along with multi platinum, and Grammy award winning accolades at the highest level.


What do you want to promote, when or what are you dropping? Single etc

I currently have a single,
I Wonder Why, that has a tremendous visual on YouTube. My team and I really pushed boundaries and broke artistic limitations with this one.
I’m also in the studio putting together an EP entitled Menace.
