Homeward Bound Lyrics by Storm Seeker

Set the Sails

2025

[Verse 1: Manuel Depryck]
Well Capitan de Elcano was once a sailor bold
He joined the fearless Fernão Magalhães
When five ships sailed to unknown lands - 230 souls
Were all keen to join the mightiest of quests
[Chorus 1: Manuel Depryck & Marius Bornfleth]
My sailors heart runs ever faster
Canvas set we're homeward bound
We were roamin ‘round and 'round in quest for gold! (Whooho!)
Heave away, we're going faster
We were roamin' all around
But returning home will pay us thousandfold
[Chorus 2: Manuel Depryck, Fabienne Kirschke, Marius Bornfleth, Tim Bernard]
My sailors heart (Whooho!)
Set thе sails we're homeward bound
My sailors hеart (Whooho!)
Treasure nowhere to be found
Heave away, we're home at last
Yarrdiho, ahoi, avast
My Sailors heart is homeward bound
[Verse 2: Tim Bernard]
San Antonio's Mutiny had cast a shadow soon
Victoria and crew still onward bound
Concepcion y Santiago, swallowed by the waves
And the Trinidad was nowhere to be found
[Verse 3: Tim Bernard, Tim Bernard & Manuel Depryck]
Capitán Sebastián de Elcano survived with 18 mates
But hunger and the scurvy took their toll
He died in 1526, no nourishment, nor gold
But returning home would pay him thousandfold
[Chorus 1: Manuel Depryck, Marius Bornfleth, Tim Bernard]
My sailors heart runs ever faster
Canvas set we’re homeward bound
We were roamin ‘round and 'round in quest for gold! (Whooho!)
Heave away, we're going faster
We were roamin' all around
But returning home will pay us thousandfold
[Chorus 2: Manuel Depryck, Fabienne Kirschke, Marius Bornfleth, Tim Bernard]
My sailors heart (Whooho!)
Set the sails we're homeward bound
My sailors heart (Whooho!)
Treasure nowhere to be found
Heave away, we're home at last
Yarrdiho, ahoi, avast
My Sailors heart is homeward bound
[Guitar Solo/Refrain]
Whooho!
Whooho!
[Chorus 2: Manuel Depryck, Fabienne Kirschke, Marius Bornfleth, Tim Bernard]
My sailors heart (Whooho!)
Set the sails we're homeward bound
My sailors heart (Whooho!)
Treasure nowhere to be found
Heave away, we're home at last
Yarrdiho, ahoi, avast
My Sailors heart is homeward bound
