Cut with the Cake Knife Lyrics by Strawberry Switchblade

BBC Sessions & Demos

1985

[Verse 1]
The day begins again and more
Some things have cast and lay unfold
Closer to me now than before
And I will take you by the hand
And lead you, to my sunny side
[Chorus]
And I will cut you with the cake knife, right between the eyes
Lead you through the letting
Show what lies inside
[Verse 2]
Beside me, inside me, underneath
Existing inside my inside me
There's something yet still to be unleashed
And I will take you by the hand
And lead you, to my sunny side
[Chorus]
And I will cut you with the cake knife, right between the eyes
Lead you through the letting
Show what lies
[Verse 3]
Closer to you now than now before
And I will take you by the hand
And lead you, to my sunny side
[Chorus]
And I will cut you with the cake knife, right between the eyes
Lead you through the letting
Show what lies inside
[Chorus]
Cut you with the cake knife, right between the eyes
Lead you through the letting
Show what lies inside
Cut you with the cake knife, right between the eyes
Lead you through the letting
Show what lies inside
Cut you with the cake knife, right between the eyes
