New Altar Lyrics by Summer School

Drugs, Disco, Depression

2019

[Intro]
So make sure you listen to and follow their instructions
[Verse 1]
I feel my heart
I know it's changin'
I see the shape
Oh, it's rearrangin'
I spent my time givin' all myself
I read the lines that I could never help
I see the future
Now I can shape it
I'm filled with failure
But I can change it
I feel my heart walkin' backwards
But I see myself with the right words
[Chorus]
What are you waiting for now?
What are you waiting for?
What are you waiting for now?
What are you waiting for?
[Verse 2]
I see the world
It feels it sinking
It's on my shoulders
Can't stop this thinkin'
I swore to God that I'd give my all
But there's nothing left to catch my fall
I know what I want
I can't escape it
I'll save these children
It's what I make it
I see my heart, it's turning inwards
But I feel my life extending outwards
[Chorus]
What are you waiting for now?
What are you waiting for?
What are you waiting for now?
What are you waiting for?
[Bridge]
I know that I'm runnin'
Oh, I know that I'm runnin' backwards
But I found my new body
Oh, oh, I found my new body's upturn
Don't know the truth as it's ever changing
Don't know myself as I'm ever shaping
But I see my whole body
Oh, oh, I see my whole body's out there
[Outro]
What are you waiting for now?
What are you waiting for?
What are you waiting for now?
What are you waiting for?
What are you waiting for now?
What are you waiting for?
What are you waiting for now?
What are you waiting for?
