Chapter I: An Argument For Bigamy (Or Open Relationships)
It is an evolutionary need for a male to mate with more than one female to produce as many offspring as possible. Evolution has assured this by making sure males will become disinterested with a female after a while, making him have to go after other females to make him sexually excited. This is one of the causes of porn addiction, (and the reason why you can’t watch the same porn video too many times) because you will get “bored” with the same female and so you have to keep finding new ones. This is one of the reasons for divorce and for affairs, because marriage is not a natural need, it is something humans made up. So evolution makes you want different women, while marriage constricts this. So affairs cannot really be blamed entirely on the male (or female) MOST OF THE TIME, because it is hard wired into our brains to want to mate with multiple partners. This brings up the point of why we ‘created’ marriage in the first place, it goes against what we are meant to do. But this also makes you think that if we need to mate with more females (or males), than an open relationship is the right thing. But sadly, women (and mens) hormonal brains can’t seem to cope with multiple spouses, and we see this as a societal no-no. This is why bigamy would make the world happier, and divorce rates would (hypothetically) plummet. Thank you.
In the words of Travi$ Scott:
"No monogamy; menage with me"
Chapter II: An Argument For Gay Marriage
Gay marriage is a touchy subject. This is mostly because of misconceptions or ignorance towards what “Gay” actually is. Most people haven’t actually thought about this too much, but by default we mostly think of homosexuality as an “idea” or mental state. But I was thinking one night, if being homosexual is just in your head, then why do men's voices go up an octave and why do they have the mannerisms of the other sex? This can’t just be in your head. So I assumed it was something hormonal, and did some research. Scientists have actually found what makes people homosexual, and it’s not environment. You are actually born gay. Here is a condensed quote:
"epi-marks — extra layers of information that control how certain genes are expressed. These epi-marks are usually, but not always, "erased" between generations. In homosexuals, these epi-marks aren't erased — they're passed from father-to-daughter or mother-to-son, explains William Rice, an evolutionary biologist at the University of California Santa Barbara and lead author of the study."
(from http://www.usnews.com/news/articles/2012/12/11/scientists-may-have-finally-unlocked-puzzle-of-why-people-are-gay)
This states that homosexuality is genetic. And ironically, mothers give their SONS the epi-marks, and fathers give their DAUGHTERS the epi-marks. This means that parents who hate their children for being gay have only themselves to blame. Epi-marks alter how DNA genes operate in the body, so they can alter you.
"These epi-marks protect fathers and mothers from excess or underexposure to testosterone — when they carry over to opposite-sex offspring, it can cause the masculinization of females or the feminization of males," Rice says, which can lead to a child becoming gay. Rice notes that these markers are "highly variable" and that only strong epi-marks will result in a homosexual offspring."
(from http://www.usnews.com/news/articles/2012/12/11/scientists-may-have-finally-unlocked-puzzle-of-why-people-are-gay)
So I was originally right, these Epi-marks change the exposure to testosterone, making males act like females and females act like males.
So now you know what gay actually is, then maybe you will feel different. Homosexuality is more of a “disease” than way of life. Do we let people with autism or brain damage get married? Yes. Their autism is no more their fault than being gay is gay people's fault. So they should be able to get married in my opinion, because it is not their fault, and also, the only thing standing in their way is a book written thirty five hundred years ago. Marriage is a concept created by humans to bind two people together, so why can’t two people who love each other get married?
