I don't think that I'm homesick
But then again who's to say

Since around 2008
I pray to thе god of the missing things
But she left me here alone
Am I the one that's missing
Or is some place still a home

Just across the cold wide lake
But I think I'm like the flowers on that day
Another beautiful sunset
The clouds are rolling by
The leaves are turning late this year
But I watched them pass us by
The people here are lovely
Intelegent and kind
But I'd be lying if I said
I didn't miss it from time to time
I pray to the god of the missing things
But she left me here alone
Am I the one that's missing
Or is some place still a home
Redstone quarry is out there

But I think I'm like the flowers on that day
On their faces sweet lime-soda smiles
Mask something they're afraid the world might see
But streaching onwards there is nothing
Save for feilds and rocks and trees
I want to learn to speak their language
And to call them by their names
But now I'm coming home to a city by a lake
Last time that I went there
Spring was on it's way
A not quite frigid winter
Drifting out across the bay
The far side was chilly too
Perhaps still clinging to snow
The differences are easy enough to see
But hard to know
The gods of the trees and the rocks and the lake
Know better what to do
Their rings record the struggles
And the triumphs they've been through
The trees can call home anywhere
Perhaps I'll do the same
I'll know the flowers and I'll call them by their names
