Um, it's so highly specific and personal, uh, to me and my little sister
For those that don't know, I have an eleven-year-old sister named Berkeley

We're seventeen years apart and
For me, this song was important to be on this project because
I wanted something that, you know, she could listen to when she was missing me
And I wantеd that to be timestamped
Thеre's actually multiple versions of this song
It's had many lives before it made it to be what you hear now
Um, because, actually, it's really hard to write a song about your little sister
And not feel like you're coming across as like
A mom or overbearing or, honestly, kinda cheesy
And I mean that in the sweetest way
But writing a song about your little sister can get really cheesy really quick
And so we really, we wanted to write something that she could grow up with
Like I said, she's eleven now, but I want her to be able to turn this on when she's twenty-five
And still feel like she can relate to it
It's been a song that's kind of changed my life
Um, I posted this video, kind of collage video of Berkeley
Growing up throughout the years and put "Call Your Sister" behind it
Probably a week after Born In July the EP came out
And I posted it from my bar tending job on a slow Sunday night
Didn't think anything of it
Um, went home, was laying in bed, and was like
"Oh, I should probably, I should check that TikTok"
And almost passed out when I saw how many views it had had in only a couple of hours
Um, and the rest is, is kinda history
There's been, I think at this point, over a hundred and forty thousand videos
Made with this song of people showing their siblings growing up
And it's, it's been really special
Ryan Seacrest put it on his show
Um, it's just had, it's had these wings that I never ever thought it would
This song is really my heart, um, at it's most pure form
And so I'm really proud that it's kinda been the one that's connected first
