The Cabin Anthem Lyrics by Taylor Ray Holbrook

2019

[Verse 1: Taylor Ray Holbrook]
Well there's a cabin road up above my home where I've spent many nights
Yeah, we've had some good times and we've had a couple fights
Where I learned to build a fire, and I stole my first kiss
Where I had my first beer, and them days I surely miss
[Chorus: Taylor Ray Holbrook]
When my dad's dad walked along this road
He said "Son we'll build this cabin here, and this we'll call our home"
Away from all the troubles and the fights we have with life
It's the simple things that give us southern pride
[Verse 2: Jordan Bledsoe]
On a Friday night when the weather's right people come pilin' in
Four-wheel drives and shotgun rides, these people are my friends
Well the moonshine flows from a trickle of a spring
This cabin on this rocky road's where I wanna be
[Chorus: Taylor Ray Holbrook]
When my dad's dad walked along this road
He said "Son we'll build this cabin here, and this we'll call our home"
Away from all the troubles and the fights we have with life
It's the simple things that give us southern pride
[Bridge]
Hey-hey-hey
Hey-hey-hey
Hey-hey-hey
Hey-hey-hey
Hey-hey-hey
[Verse 3: Taylor Ray Holbrook & Jordan Bledsoe]
Wakin' up to the mess we made from the night before
I grabbed my boots, I packed my bags, and now I'm out the door
Sunday school is closin' in, man I'm always late
Friday night through Sunday mornin' cabin life is great
[Chorus: Taylor Ray Holbrook]
When my dad's dad walked along this road
He said "Son we'll build this cabin here, and this we'll call our home"
Away from all the troubles and the fights we have with life
It's the simple things that give us southern pride
Said the simple things that give us southern pride
