[Intro: Teddy Riley]
Yo, what's up?
I'ma kick it with The Winans, y'all know
Yo Slim, can I kick it like this?
Here we go
[Verse 1: Teddy Riley]
Well, it's time to make that change
People of the world today are fading
All of us have our ups and downs
You better think about it or you won't be around
What we need is a little bit of love
Sent by One from Heaven above
Take it from "T.", it's simple and plain
This ain't no game, you know what I'm sayin'? What?
[Chorus: The Winans, Teddy Riley]
It's time (Yep yep), time to make a change
(Here we go)
We are the people who can do it (Ah yeah)
It's time (Time) time to make a change
We are His people, we can do it
(Yo Marv, kick it for me one time)
[Verse 2: Marvin Winans, Carvin Winans, Ronald Winans, Teddy Riley]
What is the world coming to?
Seems like everyone is running from the truth
We must stand up and fight
Walk into the light
We're the people, we can do it, if we try (Here we go)
[Pre-Chorus: Marvin Winans, Teddy Riley]
I know we can do it
Somebody asked me "Why do we have to go through it?"
It's just a test of our faith
What we're living day to day
We don't know where, we don't know when
But He's coming back again
(Here we go, here we go, here we go)
[Chorus: The Winans, Teddy Riley]
It's time ('Bout that time) time to make a change (Yep yep)
We are the people who can do it (The choice is up to you)
It's time (It's about that time, y'all) time to make a change (Yep yep)
We are His people, we can do it
(Yo, Marv, kick it for me one more time)
[Verse 3: Marvin Winans, Carvin Winans, Ronald Winans]
Diseases are spreading mighty fast
Earthquakes are moving through the land
It ain't nothing but a sign
Gotta make up our mind
We're the people, we can do it, if we try
[Pre-Chorus: Marvin Winans]
I know we can do it
Somebody asked me "Why do we have to go through it?"
It's just a test of our faith
We're just living day by day
Don't know where, don't know when
But He's coming back again
(You know what? You know what? You know what?)
[Chorus: The Winans, Teddy Riley]
It's time (It's about that time, y'all), time to make a change (Yep yep)
We are the people who can do it
It's time...time to make a change
We are His people, we can do it
(Here we go)
[Verse 4: Teddy Riley]
Well, it's time to make that change
People of the world today are fading
All of us have our ups and downs
You better think about it or you won't be around
What we need is a little bit of love
Sent by One from Heaven above
Take it from "T.", it's simple and plain
This ain't no game, you know what I'm sayin'?
[Pre-Chorus: Marvin Winans, Teddy Riley]
I know we can do it (Here we go)
Somebody asked me "Why do we have to go through it?"
It's just a test of our faith
We're living day by day
Don't know where, don't know when (Ah yeah)
But He's coming back again (Here we go)
[Chorus: The Winans, Teddy Riley, Marvin Winans]
It's time (It's about that time, y'all), time to make a change (That's right)
We are the people who can do it
(We got to make that change)We
It's time (About that time), time to make a change (Yep yep)
We are His people, we can do it
(We can do it, here we go)
It's time (Oh, oh, sing), time to make a change (Yeah, it is)
We are the people who can do it (We can do it)
(We can do it, here we go)
It's time (About that time, y'all), time to make a change (You can do it)
We are His people, we can do it (No mountain too high)
It's time (Oh yeah), time to make a change
(Time to make a change)
We are the people who can do it (No valley too low)
(Here we go)
It's time (About that time) (You can make a change)
Time to make a change (Get up)
We are His people, we can do it (Oh, you can do it, yeah)
It's time...time to make a change
We are the people who can do it
(Right about now, we got to make that change) (He called you)
It's time...time to make a change
We are His people, we can do it
It's time (Oh yeah, yeah) (Here we go)
Time to make a change (Yep yep)
We are the people who can do it
(You can do it, I know you can)
(Alright, we're gonna break it down one time, Slim)
It's time (I know you will), time to make a change (Oh Lord)
We are His people, we can do it (Nothing can hold you back)
It's time (Nothing can stop you now)
Time to make a change (It's that time)
We are His people, we can do it
[Interlude: Marvin Winans]
God will redeem the time against evil
Oh Lordy, yeah
Every man, woman, boy and girl, you can make the change
Yes, it is
The sun's going down
[Chorus: The Winans, Marvin Winans]
It's time (Oh, yes, it is), time to make a change
(It's late in the evening)
We are His people, we can do it (It's time for you to return)
It's time, time to make a change
We are the people who can do it (I know, I know, I know)
[Outro: The Winans]
It's time, time to make a change
